Team Information/Requirements:
You must be enrolled as a full time student and have a GPA of 2.0 or higher to audition for the team. Incoming freshman must plan to attend the University of Oregon in the fall and enroll as a full time student. The judges will be looking for 18-22 dancers (some will be alternates for nationals season) for the team. The season begins in early September and ends mid- March. Participation in summer camp is mandatory (extenuating circumstances will be reviewed by the coach). We will also be holding spring practices, some of which will be mandatory for in- state dancers. Depending on football and national's schedules, dancers are required to stay in Eugene for Thanksgiving Break and some of Winter Break. We typically practice 9- 12 hours per week. Being a member of UODT is a privilege- the team must come before any UO club or sorority. Once accepted every team member must sign a contract created by the coach, captains and modified by members of the team. All returners must re- audition for the team.
We are thrilled about your interest in our team. Even if you aren't sure if you have all the skills, come and try out for the experience and feed back. We create a professional environment where dancers shouldn't be afraid to come and show us what they've got! We hope to see you there!
